When I think of fashion

When I think of fashion, I think of the fancy outfits, casual clothes, shoes, boots, coats, accessories, and whatever is trending for the season. It’s crazy how fast fashion trends change, as if you’re supposed to get rid of all your old clothes when new styles hit the runways, and stock up on what’s in. Then when those trends get old, just discard them and keep up with what’s next. Well, not so fast if you honor your money honey, it’s important to shop smart, not trendy. The bottom line is it’s nothing wrong with buying flashy and trendy fashions. However a girl should be smart and make sure you always have staples. You know the clothes that are timeless and that can be interchanged with old, new, and the trendy. For instance blazers are classic and can be dressed up or down, depending on the quality of fabric and design. The blazer as a dressed up look can be worn with evening wear such as a maxi skirt and chiffon or sequins top. The blazer as a dressed down look can be worn with jeans and a T-shirt.

My suggestion is not getting caught up in trying to keep up with or impress others; but do what makes you feel and look good. Having lots of experience and have worked in the beauty business for 18 years my mission is to enlighten, inspire, uplift, empower, and celebrate women by creating unique fashion for fashion forward women who enjoy looking and feeling sexy, sophisticated, and effortlessly chic.

In my opinion, fashion is not about the clothes, but about the confidence a person displays to the world while wearing the clothes. You could have two people put on the same exact outfit and the one who wears their clothes more confidently will shine, while the other person appears to let the outfit wear them. In fact, it’s either you are wearing the outfit or the outfit will wear you. Where do you fall in the scenario? Do you wear clothes or do they wear you?
